Medical students really can't win
U should check if he got he got jab 1 or 2. Maybe recommend a booster
Depends on who your presenting to
Does anybody here watch Stevio? Tips from the ER? Fun medical humor..
Haha yes, objective portions
It’s also true to nursing students lol 😂
This is the most accurate I've ever seen ☠️ different doctors want to listen different things, have different style. It's the thing i hate the most being a medical student 😭☠️
This doesn’t change in residency 😂
I felt this one in my soul... Something's always missing or wrong🤦♀️🤦♀️
Man…. This couldn’t be any closer to the truth wow! 😭
even when you’re right, you’re wrong
Why does any student care what any random resident feels about them personally anyway? Like they can give there opinions on your presentation but at the end of the day who care if they like it or not, at the end of the day they get the info and you did the job, couldnt care less if they like the method they received it
@Doc Schmidt i get that some people might think like that (def not me personally and i think thats honestly a pretty unhealthy mentality) but is there any repercussion like stated in the video? Like in the vid you said stuff about the student will have to improve presentation if they want to make it, does a resident really have any influence that would negatively affect them based on there opinion on a presentation? Feel no need to respond, I appreciate your answer already provided.
@TheImpatientGamer that’s like saying “why would an employee care what their boss thinks of them personally?” It’s human nature
@Doc Schmidt this is correct, hence why i asked the question and then stated my views
Spoken like someone who has never been a Med student
Well doctor Mr Jones is a popular Alt Rock song released in ‘93 by the band Counting Crows. It was a part of their breakout album “August and everything after” which went on to sell over 7 million copies worldwide. It remains as a staple of 90s rock music for over 20 years and boasts more than 470 million listens on Spotify alone. Current status is rockin’ while the prognosis is absolutely SICK
I could never do this. My brain would explode.
OMG this is SO ACCURATE!! Every professor has different standards and it's literally so hard keeping up with them, whenever they tell me "the history is very detailed OR the history should be more detailed" in my head I'm like "make up your mind people, can't anyone set some standards for it, I have a ton of other work to do as well🤦♀️🤦♀️"
Let's shut down society and the economy because this old guy might get covid and die. Don't you care about old people? 😮
That's so accurate. No one is ever satisfied with the history that med students present.
Don’t worry. He does in fact die “of covid”
One like and I will quit my job
Damned if ya do, Damned if ya don't. These people are in almost every profession. 😂 97 year old Jones can't catch a break. My great grandfather is 97, a WWII veteran, retired from Monsanto (they made agent orange), survived getting a heart valve replaced at 95, still drives, walks a mile per day, and is fairly healthy. He is all about staying healthy and fit. Since he is retired, he helps at the church. When volunteering, he does carpentry, and construction work. His wife (great grandmother) passed away in 2005, he still says " she was the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on, even that foxy Sarah Palin would take second place in beauty and brains!" 😍 His mental health is fairly healthy, he's just a stubborn man, who is a walking talking history book. ♥️
So true! They all want something different😂😂😂…I love how the Infectious disease attending was so excited to hear it and then he smashes the dreams.
You just have to tell who has Time
Why do some doctors in medical fields act like Asian moms
Damn that’s sad 😔 I feel bad for them
Imagine following the techer and still getting it wrong
Thank fuck I’m in nursing 😭
had great patience with up-and-coming young people, and they loved him as a professor!
Unfortunately this is still accurate as a resident 😅
Yo nice beard 👍
Hehehe we never win 🤣🤣😭😭
The first thing that came to my mind, how the heck is this person still alive with all them disease at 97??!!😂💀
Wow, Doctors are a special breed. Also everytime I see You I'm reminded I need to go for that follow up colonoscopy! Duodenal ulcer blow out, patch job. Then My aorta blew out so I never got the colonoscopy, but really gotta!
Yeah that pretty much it
So what's the deal with your hospital patients? It sounds like an anti-birth control town run by 50 men names Jones and has 10 Smiths as brothers-in-law.
There are now 334 comments now MOHAHAHA!

I have to say that usually medical students don’t say that much when dealing with patients. Every so often one might come in to gather some information but for the most part they stand in the back and say as little as possible.I personally like dealing with nursing students because you can point out things that will make their job easier from the point of you of a patient with experience in the hospital and with various medical conditions. I told him that I’m not trying to tell them how to do their job as much as these are just a little tricks that will make your job easier.
I couldn't be able medical student, I have to much of an attitude.
Congratulations on you and your wife's baby.
Okay I’m thinking uncle Jones ain’t worth all that money
I wasn't popular after after I just started going mhhm.after every contradictory criticization.
That’s a Problem in any Kind of Education.
Facial hair like Joe dirt 🤣
holy shit this jones guy is on life support by this point
Oxygen, four liters?! *this peasant who only used liters for liquids*
Best part is when he was reading the chronic stuff i blinked snd thought he grew a beard then
Why is it always mr jones 💀
💖🤷♂️🤷♀️👁👁🦠🎨🧵🛒🥬❄ *God demonstrated His love to us by sending His Son Jesus Christ, who died and rose from the dead to Give us eternal life.* *If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead* *He will give you the free gift of eternal life* *He also promised to heal your body.* *(Look up at the sky and ask God)*
This would drive me insane. This happens at work, and it would be the same guy different day. 😠😩💨
Mr. Jones has gone through so much..
Why not just say the whole thing again🧐😂
Didnt know 'This' was a worldwide problem for students!!🤣
It’s funny how you say Jones and my last name is the same
All of that was extremely f****** confusing I guess my problem with the short sweet and simple is that what if you miss something? What if that med student forgets to say something like I don't know he's allergic to penicillin and that's what you prescribed him? Whose fault is it the med student who was trying to read out the full diagnosis and why he was there or the Doctor Who told him to cut to the chase?
Don't feel to bad. You experience this as an engineering intern as well. I've heard both of these from the same director of engineering over the same project on same day."This project breakdown is too detailed, give me the thousand mile view""This project breakdown is too vague, I want the full details in the next hour."
lol i wish i could tell them *"i dont know what ure thinking u asshole"*
This is exactly why I do not respect doctors. They're so arrogant and forget that patients know their bodies, but they never listen to patients because, "I have a PH.D and I spent blah blah blah year's in med school, and I know more than you. And you're just a stupid non-med person who knows nothing about human anatomy."Doctors are jerks.
"Mr. Jones is the oldest teenager ever with the absurd age of 97"
Is mr Jones a reference to that guy that makes jokes about Germans? I forgot his name but he made a series about round glasses making you a villain
I'm going to have to learn to hold my tongue before going to Vet residency. 😞 I can't take that shit gracefully.
Med students be like-(Person having stomach ache)OH NO HE HAS THE RAREST DISEASE KNOWN TO MAN HE WILL DIE IN 5 SECONDS
Damned if you do, dammed if you don’t.
97??? Let him go...
Know your audience, infectious disease wants to know everything, your attending wants to go home.
Just let the old guy go home and enjoy the turkey, okay?
why i always gotta be the patient
I’m a waitress… totally different case, but usually the rookies are the ones who are ALWAYS wrong 🙃🙃🙃🙃 I feel like that happens in every profession
My mom was a medical worker for 30 years. Those vitals are amazing for a 97yo Jesus
i hate bruno mars/silk sonic. so stupid and jerky
This happens in vet med too and I fucking hated it.
Very smart making the camera higher on student to make him look smaller, and lower on the residents to make them look bigger/in charge
Looks like the old nephro attending has twin who's an ID attending.
Pertinent positive: he’s alivePertinent negatives: he’s not dead
Whoa, when did the beard happen?
COPD. 4 liters oxygen. 4.... 💀🤣
I'm so glad captions are common now
I’d just always do the first and just accept that they’d ask you to skip bits
So older people just being rude and interrupting as usual.
I'm already anxious about med school enough
It's not so bad....? I mean yeah we all get told off on how to improve our presentation but wierdly enough it builds understanding on how specialties approach and think about their cases. Yes everyone's gonna have a different focus but that's the point, and tailoring presentations to the situation is a helpful skill to build.Although frustrating and miserable at times, it's a surprisingly useful skillset. Relatably funny tho.
If you're a real doctor you should be able to handle any info they give you
@Doc Schmidt I meant the doctor should be able to handle whatever info the med student gives them since they have experience. Why make it harder on the student? Have a good day Doc!
If you’re a medical student, you’re actually not a doctor yet
I think the reveal that Mr. Jones is 97 is a new addition to the canon!
This may be the most accurate thing
Basically just use fancy big boy words and sound smart and actually know your terminology
